My friends call me Alex...

I know you’ve read these letters before but stay with me a few more minutes and you will see how this letter can make your dreams of financial independence come true.  You know the old saying:

“Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life”

Well I’m here to tell you it’s true.  Now that does not mean you don’t have to put in some time and effort, but it does mean that if you enjoy what you are doing everyday and making a living at it then it is much easier than selling your time to someone else for them to make more money than you.

Five years ago I was a relatively successful sales rep for a company that had sales managers, sales quotas and even bonuses.  I did okay but I didn’t like the grinding treadmill of cold calling and scratching and clawing for that ever elusive bonus.  You know what I mean, you work your butt off and just when you think you can grab the brass ring, the ring is moved a little higher “to motivate you.”

I have always loved computers and found my escape each evening by going online, I called it my “virtual vacation.”  I found myself reading about people who had changed their circumstances by working online, living where they wanted and working the hours they wanted, morning, noon or night – whatever worked best for them. Right there I decided that was the life for me and it was my dream to be “work free” in 5 years.  I worked in the evenings and I invested my money and time into making my dream come true.  That was 2002.

I am an internet entrepreneur and I make my living working online and sharing my experiences with other people.  With high speed internet, I can work anywhere at any time.  I quite my job in 2004 and have never looked back.

Now I live in a beautiful, rural community where the only commuters are on horseback.
